Managing Partner, Imaginary Ventures

Nick Brown is Co-Founder and Partner at Imaginary, a stage and geography agnostic venture capital firm focusing on innovations in commerce and retail. He founded the company in early 2017 with Natalie Massenet (Founder, Net a Porter).

Prior to starting Imaginary, Mr. Brown was a Partner at 14W Venture Partners from July 2011 to January 2017. At 14W, he led the firm’s investments in the initial financing rounds of Glossier, Goop, Everlane, Reformation, Outdoor Voices, Moda Operandi, The Business of Fashion, The Real Real and others.  

Mr. Brown is a New Yorker and currently serves on the board of the Collegiate School. Mr. Brown has a BA from Harvard University.


Founded by Natalie Massenet and Nick Brown, Imaginary is a Venture Capital Fund that invests in early–stage opportunities at the intersection of retail and technology. The firm seeks to make investments in companies with a focus on the e-commerce space, including retail, fashion, lifestyle and beauty sectors in Europe.
